The international jury of the exhibition of artistic bookbindings Scripta Manent VII estimated three artefacts out of 148, from 19 countries, to be awarded with "Golden Book Award". Eleven bindings were acknowledged with incentive prizes. An additional special prize was handed out to the best student and three students received honourable mention.
The basis for estimation was proficiency, topicality, experimental creativity and original attitude.

The prize fund was supported through contribution of their creative compositions by Estonian artists Tiina Grepp, Kadi Kurema, Tiia Külv, Tarrvi Laamann, Eve Selisaar, Kärt Seppel, Tiiu Tulev-Soots, Kelli Valk. Prizes were allocated by Arvo Pärt Centre, Estonian History Museum, Zelluloos Paper Shop and Enn Jaanisoo.

We thank you all very much for your participation and your wonderful bindings!
